Synopsis: A man battles between his physical needs and his conscience.

creation. Seeking Solace follows one of those moments that defines a
person —when he makes a life choice —but is glad no one he knows was there to
witness it.

Director Biography: Vista Clara’s literal translation is “Clear View”. We embrace this as our mantra. Some ideas are good but don’t necessarily equate into a movie. We create or seek out films that are entertaining, thought provoking, relevant themes that speak from it’s conception. For this the filmmaker’s vision must be clear. We are not just about making films; we are about making important films. In 1993, he produced a short film “The Last Chance Café” in which he was the lead actor. Soon after, he completed another short, “The Power Game” and then directed his first Feature Film “No Deposit, No Return” which became multi-award winning. Because Derek has always struggled with his diverse nationality (Greek/ Puerto-Rican descent), he chooses to channel his frustration into his films. An example of this is “Officer LaJara” a period piece following the events in 1969’s Spanish Harlem. He plans to have this film in production after he completes his present film “Dying to Survive.”

Amongst his many lifetime accomplishments are his marriage and becoming a father to three beautiful girls.
