Synopsis: As the War on Terror rages on, the government reinstitutes old methods from the McCarthy Era and CO-INTEL PRO days to fight terrorism on the home front and expedite the process of capturing enemy combatants.  Playing a key role in a covert agency’s plan to combat terrorism, Jobe Gomez plants falsified and fabricated evidence into suspected terrorist’s homes.  Meanwhile, his girlfriend Maribel has begun to catch on to his double-life, and she demands to know the truth.  However, nothing will stand in Gomez’s way from remaining loyal to his father’s short-lived legacy and serving his country with the utmost dignity.  One day after Mel and Tom, his superior officers’, reward him for his excellent service, he discovers that his father was part of the Contras efforts in Nicaragua in the 1980’s during the Iran-Contra Scandal – helping to supply weapons and material support to overthrow the Sandinista Regime.  When Jobe’s loyalty is put into question, he must make a critical decision and do what he thinks is right.  But things are not always right in this world and sometimes your closest friends can be your worst enemies. In the Global War on Terror, old habits die hard.

Geoffrey Guerrero- Born and bred in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY, Geoffrey Guerrero, of Ecuadorian origins, has always been constantly searching for a creative outlet to express the beauty and madness of this great city.  During his final year of studies at Brooklyn College, Guerrero worked as a camera operator for NYC-TV, New York’s flagship television station, on such original programming as Cultural Corners, $9.99, and Council 51.  After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Film Production, he went on to garner fresh skills in the world of prime-time and cable television programming, working on such renowned shows as The Apprentice, American Idol, Surprise by Design, Celebrity Poker showdown, and much more, learning the ins and outs of the industry and getting his hands dirty in every facet of production.
Guerrero has written, directed, and produced over four short films.  He was selected as a semi-finalist for the 2006 Film Your Issue competition.  His film was one of 35 chosen for the competition in which over 300 films were submitted.  He was subsequently featured in El Diario/La Prensa, the nation’s Spanish-leading newspaper, for helping to raise awareness about discrimination against immigrant day laborers and for highlighting an issue that’s been perennially overlooked by the mainstream media.  Just recently he guest directed and worked as a Director of Photography on a short film called Rewind, which took home the Best Short Film “On The Edge” award at this year’s 2007 HBO New York International Latino Film Festival.
To this day, while he jumps from gig to gig to pay his bills, Geoffrey Guerrero continues to ride the independent filmmaker’s wave with singular purpose and mission in mind: to write, produce, and direct his own originally conceived film ideas – covering stories that are real, honest, and groundbreaking.
