Synopsis: Synopsis - "INDISCRETION" A morality tale of past sins exposed and old wounds reopened.  A 12 year old's fate hinges on a prayer and a balloon carrying a message as Sophia endures a bleak existence with the constant battering at the hands of her sadistic mother, Melba. 

The note becomes the catalyst that set's off a chain of events affecting her life and the lives of others.  Gabriel, a paramedic who carries his own torment over the loss of his son, finds the note at the scene of the accident.  The note ultimately ends up in the reluctant hands of a priest, Lionel, who has been repressing his own demons from his childhood. 

The note and the death of his father compels him to confront the rage that's been simmering under the surface for years and finds himself torn by his past and the faith he serves when the note leads to Sophia.

Director’s Bio:  Ivan Velez, of Brooklyn, New York, started his film career by studying acting under veteran Film, TV and stage actress, Catherine Wolf (Little Children, Law and Order). He then attended the School of Visual Arts to study film production, where he further honed his skills behind the camera and writing screenplays.  Later, he founded Outta Left Field Productions, LLC to pursue his goals of developing and producing quality films while providing opportunities to the under-represented up and coming talented filmmakers. Ivan then self-financed his feature film directorial debut, “Indiscretion”, which he also wrote and produced.  The film was a selection at the 2006 HIFF (Hartford International Film Festival).
Most recently, he co-produced and was director of photography for Jeff Benson’s feature, “She’s Got It”.  Ivan has also produced a couple of short films for Off-Broadway award winning playwright Rob Santana, “Flavor of the Month” and “Hit n Run”.  

Currently he’s writing a screenplay, a dysfunctional romantic comedy entitled “The Elephant In The Room”.
