Scar Tissue, Short Film by Angel David

Director: Angel David

Cast: Romi Dias, Ed Trucco, Alan Tavacez, Ganna Corvino

Synopsis: A mother and father negotiate custody of their daughter during a walk through Central Park.  The father threatens to “keep her”.  The mother, a doctor, makes a deal with a dangerous young man, she treated for acid burns.  He wants to repay her kindness by sending a message to her husband with the same acid he burned himself with.

Director’s Bio: Angel David has had a long and successful career as an actor in film, television and on stage.  He has also directed many stage productions.  He was awarded the Drama League New Director/New Works Fellowship for Directing and developing MEMORIES OF OUR WOMEN for the stage.

In 2002 he was awarded a fellowship to the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) very first producer academy.  A signature program for the organization that trains Latino/a to produce and direct features and documentaries.  He has been asked to come back the last three years to serve as mentor.  Angel David has also taught acting at TV1 Actor Studio in Manhattan since 2001.

Scar Tissue was his debut short film.  It is an official selection to the Staten Island Film Festival and the Long Island International Film Expo.
